10" Non-Tapered, Square, Light Weight Pultruded Fiberglass Column, comes with a choice of Capital and Base and the necessary Tapcon Screws with mounting hardware.
Pultruded columns are made using a pultrusion process and have the look of cast fibreglass columns at a lower cost! The process involves pulling continuous lengths of reinforced polymer, rather than pushing, as in extrusion through a forming die using a continuous pulling device. Resin, fillers and specialized additives are then added to produce a fine finish.

Though Pultruded Columns look the same as Permacast Columns, they carry only about half of the load-bearing capacity (Average Allowable - 10,000 lbs), which will be due for most applications. They are lighter in weight than the equivalent cast columns, which make them easier to ship, carry and install. Another difference between the columns is that the Pultruded columns cannot be split. These Pultruded columns are resistant to chemicals, rot, fading, insects, warping and moisture. Pultruded Fiberglass Columns come with a limited lifetime warranty for material and workmanship when properly installed.
These columns are shipped in unfinished, raw fiberglass and will require finishing paint on site after the capital and base have been installed.
Notes:
If you choose to order the optional capital or base or panel kits, they are to be glued in place with construction adhesive which is not included.
The Full Panelled Fiberglass Columns come with three sets of dividers (as shown). All the trims and accessories are made from cellular PVC that will not rot or decay.
All Fiberglass columns require painting for best results. If you are painting a dark colour, follow the manufacturer's painting guidelines, which are the same as Painting Cellular PVC.
The Tuscan Capitol and Base are made from high-density polyethylene.
The astragal or neck moulding can be ordered separately if desired.
