8" Modern Farmhouse Plank - Nickel Gap

8" Modern Farmhouse, Tongue & Groove, Nickel Gap, MDF Plank, with a deep Square Groove in Primed MDF 7 5/16" tall, ½" thick.

They look stunning in both traditional and modern Interiors. A look that works well for walls, sides of staircases or ceilings. Our MDF Modern Farmhouse Nickel Gap Planks have a deep square groove typically only found in the thicker tongue and groove planks.

Readily available for fast shipping in 8, 12 and 16-foot lengths. Being our most popular Nickel Gap planks, we stock thousands of feet. The groove or gap is about ¼" square, as deep and wide as possible for its thickness. 

The 8ft board covers 4.7 square feet;       the 12ft. covers 7 square feet;         and the 16ft. covers 9.3 square feet.

This plank is made from a premium primed, MDF board with higher levels of hardwood to ensure stronger edges that stay in tack during transport.  In addition, we prime and buff both the surface and the edges twice to further harden the edges.

Being only ½ thick, it offers the utility of a thin shiplap plank, but with the alignment accuracy of a Tongue & Groove plank that ensures a straight and level horizontal/vertical joint on the wall or ceiling.

Eight-foot lengths are best for more economical UPS shipping. If you are using for ceilings, we recommend that you use shorter planks, spacing the joints randomly. To better reflect the Modern Farmhouse style, we suggest butt joints for the ends. For a more traditional look, some prefer to bevel the edges just like hardwood flooring.

Keep in mind that 16-foot material can only be shipped by transport truck; the maximum length that UPS can deliver is 8 feet. This plank looks great running either horizontal or vertical on walls. We also offer Beadboard planks and Beams you can call our experts for assistance at any time.
