10" Smooth Ceiling Beam, with a folded, visible seam. Actual size is 10" x 6 ½", 8" or 10" tall.
This beam is perfect for Coffered Ceilings.
Our 10" Smooth Ceiling Beam is made from ½" thick drywall that has been V-Grooved and folded, resulting in a seamless beam. Its actual size is 10" x 6 ½", 8" or 10" tall.
A 3/4" thick MDF mounting bracket is included for easy installation. This type of beam is particularly suitable for coffered ceilings.
Compared to traditional framing, taping, mudding, and sanding methods, using folded drywall beams save significant finishing time as they have no edges, corners, or joints that require taping or sanding. Machine folding and grooving also produce straighter corners than wood or MDF beams. Unlike MDF beams, drywall beams expand and contract at the same rate as the surrounding walls, which reduces the likelihood of cracks on joints.
