Square, Hardwood HALF Panelled Column

Square, HALF Recessed Paneled, Hardwood Column 8" x 8 or 9 feet made to compliment our Elite Recessed Wall Panel Wainscoting using the same trims and proportions or on its own. We ship this completely UNASSEMBLED to reduce shipping cost. The shaft being unassembled, can easily be wrapped around a support post.

Specifications:
The upper shaft is 7 5/8" square, the lower paneled portion is 38" high, 8 ⅝" square, and the inside dimension is 6 1/2". We supply a 5/8" thick baseboard that adds 1 1/4" to the shaft, making the footprint a total of 10". With the cornice, the shaft is 10 3/4" wide at the top. Should you require a different panel height, call us. The banding and crown trim are pre-cut but uninstalled to allow you to customize the height on site. Everything shown in the drawing is included: The shaft of the column, to be assembled on site; and all the rails, styles, trims, baseboards and we even supply the glue and the tape. The parts are made from a combination of either veneered (mostly) or solid select furniture grade hardwood to be stained after installation. This column is decorative and not tested for load bearing capacity.
When we supply an extension kit for a PAINT-GRADE column, we supply a 1' section to be applied to the top of the column shaft. However, if you require a 9' STAIN-GRADE Column, then your column will be made differently. The lower recessed section will come 38” tall, and the upper shaft will be 70” tall. The reason being, the 1' extension on a hardwood column will not have the same grain consistency and would be noticeably different after staining.  As an alternative, we split up the shaft just below the paneled section as shown on the drawing.
