10" PVC Pergola Rafter – Spartan Tail Cut

Elevate your pergola design with our maintenance-free PVC Pergola Rafters, crafted with precision and designed to last. The Spartan Tail Cut tail profile adds a distinctive architectural touch while offering the durability of premium Cellular PVC.

Built to Last – No Painting Needed

Each rafter is formed by cutting, folding, and laminating four PVC panels, creating a smooth, seamless surface on all sides.

• No open pores – resists dirt and debris

• No painting required – but can be painted to match your color palette

• UV and weather resistant – won’t warp, rot, or crack

Strong & Lightweight

PVC is ideal for outdoor structures, but longer lengths need reinforcement. We build that in:

• Up to 8 ft: Hollow core – no internal reinforcement required
• 8 to 12 ft: Reinforced with one internal aluminum bar
• 14 ft: Reinforced with two aluminum bars
• Over 14 ft: We recommend adding a support post at mid-span or adding thicker, heavier aluminum. 

Note: For structural performance, we may substitute aluminum bars with galvanized steel C-channel or larger aluminum bars based on availability and requirements.

Rafter End Configuration Options

Both Ends Profiled
The classic look for decorative or support rafters. Not trimable on-site – we’ll cut down to your custom length at no extra charge.

Profiled / Closed – Square End
One end is profiled, the other has a finished square cap. The cap is taped in place for on-site trimming and can be glued back after cutting.

Profiled / Open for Mounting
One end is open for mounting to a wall or ledger. Comes with mounting hardware. The opposite end is profiled and sits on a beam. Can be trimmed on-site.

Profiled / Open for Connecting
Used to extend rafters or beams in long runs. One end is profiled, the other has an extended internal aluminum bar that overlaps the next rafter. Includes a PVC cleat for a seamless connection.

Both Ends Open for Connecting (Joining)
Designed for connecting three or more rafters in extra-long runs. Both ends are open, one with an overlapping aluminum bar and PVC cleat to align the connection.
