Introducing the Classic 12" Square, PVC Column Wrap - the perfect architectural element to enhance the style of any home. Standing out from the typical 8" or 10" columns, the 12" column is a bold and prominent architectural feature that will make a lasting impression. While panelled or fluted columns rely on the shaft to express style, smooth columns draw attention to the Capital and Base.
To cater to diverse design visions, we offer four different Capital and Base sets. The Box or Craftsman set is ideal for contemporary or modern farmhouse homes. The Craftsman Base with Georgian Capital is a great choice for an eclectic look, while the Tuscan Set is perfect for traditional homes. We have recently added the West Indies or Step Capital and Base set to meet popular demand. With just a click of a mouse, designers, homeowners, or architects can easily order a column that matches their vision. All our sets are proportionate to the size and height of the column. For shorter columns, we reduce the height of the base as the column sits on pedestals that act as a base.
Our column wrap comes complete with 3 oz of PVC adhesive, tape, installation cleats, mounting hardware, and instructions for easy installation. The column shaft is made from four -5/8" or 3/4" thick PVC panels with a lock mitre joint for simple glue assembly.
The actual outside dimension of the shaft is approximately 11 ⅝", and the inside dimension is about 10" square. The Box or Craftsman Base adds 2" to the shaft, making the footprint 13 ⅝". The Tuscan and West Indies Base adds 4 ¼" to the shaft making the footprint about 16".
We understand the importance of cost-effective shipping, which is why our 9ft (Two-Section) columns are specifically designed for easy UPS shipping. The column shaft is shipped in two sections (8ft + 1ft = 9ft) that fit together on site. The 9ft (Two-Section) column always comes with an astragal trim to hide the seam and mounting cleats, as shown on the drawing. It's worth noting that the one-section shaft and two-section costs are the same. Only the shipping costs vary.
In addition to being a stunning column wrap, our product can also be ordered as a Newel Post to support the railing or made as a Pilaster to go up against a wall. Our goal is to provide our customers with the flexibility to achieve their desired look with ease.
