14" Large, FLUTED, PVC Column is probably the best value you'll find on the net at any size! -- Our large, Elite series PVC Column Wraps are quick and easy to install as well as lightweight, strong and paintable.
We believe that exterior PVC Column Wraps are the highest-quality product for the least amount of cost, far less than fiberglass columns. These columns are environmentally friendly and can easily be installed over an existing wooden or steel post. They resist warping, shrinkage, decay, and insects.
Our PVC wraps are made with premium "Free Rise" cellular PVC. Larger shafts are shipped in several sections to be assembled on-site. All you need is some ladders, a chop saw and basic carpentry tools to install. These columns are available up to 20 feet tall with no visible seams.
Specifications:
The column shaft is made from 4-- 3/4" thick Fluted PVC panels, with a lock mitre joint for easy glue assembly, as shown on the drawing. The actual outside dimension of the shaft is 13 ⅞”, and the inside dimension is about 12” square.
The 1 ½" thick Contemporary PVC Base adds about 3" inches of thickness to the shaft, making the overall footprint about 17”.
Our Elite Tall PVC Column Series includes a Georgian Capital with an astragal, which is made of a 3" to 5" PVC Cornice (depending on the height). The Premium, Contemporary PVC Base is about 1 ½" thick and 10" tall for columns up to 16 feet and 12" tall for columns 18 and 20 feet tall.
Columns come with 10 evenly spaced flutes that start about 3" above the base and end 3" below the astragal or neck trim. These fluted columns are not intended to be cut down on-site; if you let us know the exact height your project requires, we will make the column to size, need to cut into the flutes, all at no charge. Comes complete with 6 - 8 oz of PVC adhesive, tape, installation cleats, and instructions.
