Mantel Beam - Hand Hewn

Add craftsmanship with character to a fireplace with a stunning Fypon Mantel. Available in two realistic wood grains – Rough Sawn and Hand Hewn – to compliment various architectural home styles and create a focal point for any living space.

Beam mantels are offered in two widths and heights: 6” (true 5-1/2)  x 8” (true 7-1/2") and 8” (7-1/2") x 10” (9-1/2"). The thickness of the shell is approximately 3/4" thick. See Specification Chart for full sizing.

Lengths from 60” to 90”, in 6” increments are available to fit most fireplaces. 

Crafted from durable polyurethane, Fypon beam mantels and shelves are lightweight and easy to install. They do not require additional structural support, unlike traditional wood beams.  See the video for complete installations details. Beam Mantel Testing — Fypon polyurethane beam mantels were tested to ASTM D1929 - Ignition Temperature Evaluation on Beam Mantel Polyurethane Foam using Foamresin-R Material, and shown to be safe from ignition at a temperature of 300 degrees Celsius or 572 degrees Fahrenheit. As a comparison, wood (softwoods, such as pine, cedar, redwood, fir, poplar and others) will ignite at 180 degrees Celsius or 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
