the post is well made I would have preferred a gloss finish instead of the
flat finish because I think the gloss finish would stand up better to the weather

We are very pleased with the Gable Post the we purchased. It is replacing a wood one that has been on our house for 24 years. We painted it to match the aluminum siding and it looks great.
