Fluted Square, Wood Column

Fluted Wood Column - The Standard Format Kit includes 4 - Panels that make up the shaft of the column; an architecturally correct Traditional Colonial Base or a Classic Tuscan Base; 4 pieces of 3" Georgian crown and banding to create a capital; mounting brackets, cleats; tape; and even the MDF glue.  Everything you see in the photograph is cut to size. The column is shipped unassembled to wrap a jack post, lolly post or existing support. 
The Column shaft comprises four sides with five evenly spaced flutes that go together like a puzzle, using lock mitre joints for easy assembly.  Should you choose a pilaster, three panels are included, and the side panels are 3" wide and fluted.  All the smaller pieces are cut to size and also require assembly.  

Sizing: The Column shaft's outside dimension is 7 ⅝" square, and the inside is 6 ⅝". The panels are made from ½" thick MDF, to be primed and painted after installation. The Tradition Base adds 1 ¼" to the shaft, making the footprint about 9". The base and cap are made from MDF and are only suggested for indoor applications.

NOTE: The actual Column Shaft is 95"; the capital will add about 2", making the overall height slightly over 8 feet.
